WASHROOM
This painting was one that I did in the
basement of Foxland Hall, an old
plantation house located near Gallatin,
Tennessee. The home was built in
the years from 1759 to 1829.
It was a huge working plantation with
it's own grist mill and water
tower. After it sold we went into
the basement to just look it over.
It was the only time I was ever in the
basement of the house. I sketched it on
site and only had a couple of reference
photos of the rock and cabinets.
The house was sold and still is empty to
this day. (2005) |
